Pass by the tinted windows of the Red Light District area, and see the area yourself for a better understanding.

Meet your private guide at the central station of Amsterdam or at your hotel. From here you will walk to the notorious Red Light District. The first part of the tour leads through an old sailor neighborhood called the Zeedijk Street and Amsterdam’s famous Chinatown. This part of the Red Light District used to be a no-go area but has totally changed to a safe and friendly part of the city. In this area you will see some of the oldest pubs and bars of the city.

  • Join this private tour and explore the Red Light District through the eyes of a local.
  • Have an unique experience by walking through the narrowest streets of the city; and learn about the history of sex work, coffeeshops and smartshops.
  • Get to know about historical and political aspects of drugs and prostitution, and hear what locals say about this.
  • Learn about the cannabis culture of Amsterdam.

Then walk to the Old Church, the oldest building in Amsterdam, here we are at the center of the Red light District. In this area you will see many things like the narrowest street of Amsterdam, the first coffeeshop, an indoor prostitute street and many smartshops. Al of this is located nearby and around the oldest church of Amsterdam! Walk through the famous prostitute streets with the red lights and learn about the history and current situation of the Red Light District. Learn why prostitution is legalized and how the name “coffeeshop” was created.

Then walk to the Dam Square where the tour will end. When walking to this area you will see some of the last sights of the tour like the Condomerie, the Royal Palace and the Dam Square.

GREAT TOUR :). This is really a private tour meaning there were no other people doing the tour. We took the 10:00pm tour on a Saturday, keep in mind it is very crowded around this time. It been a great tour but I suggest to pick an earlier time so it is not that crowded.

Wonderful tour with our guide Alexandra! Alexandra is really the best, it felt like doing a tour with a friend. From the start we had so much and I hope Alexandra also enjoyed her time with us. The Red Light District is a must see and doing a tour makes it a great experience.

Interesting tour for our family of 4. Even being a family it was not awkward at all because of the guide Tony. He is very social and knows his stuff well. Wish you all the best with your business.

Our guide Tony made this an excellent experience. We really recommend doing the tour with him since he is a great guide. He has a lot of knowledge about Amsterdam and the Red Light District area. We took this tour with our family but Tony made sure it was not awkward. This tour is really the highlight of our trip in Europe!

This was an excellent tour with lots of information about the RLD. Tony is a very enthusiastic guide who clearly knows what he is talking about. The respect towards the women spoke volumes. Definitely recommended if you want to discover this part of Amsterdam!

We did a Red Light District tours years ago but this was a much better experience. It is a promoted as a private tour meaning it is really private. Other companies sometimes put you together with other people what should not be accepted. Great experience!

A friend and I booked this tour last week and our expectations were far exceeded. We were suprised being the only one on this tour, what made it much more fun. Our guide Monica was the most fantastic, charming and funny guide you will ever meet. She took us to some very cool places in the Red Light District area. We learned about everything: prositution, coffeeshops, history, architecture. We highly reccomend this tour for anyone.

We decided to book this tour when we visited Amsterdam back in July. This was in the middle of the coronacrisis so it was very quiet, what made it a better experience. We did this tour with our guide Tony and he was amazing. We will come back to Amsterdam next year for another tour. Greetings Paul & Ann

We did this tour in early March, just before the coronavirus shutdown. Tony did a great job and the tour had a really nice vibe. Afterwards he also took us to a cafe which we really appreciated.
